I can say that, so far, this series is on a -standard two-day rendezvous orbit- fast-track orbit to match with today's ISS.

The thing that strikes me the most about this episode is just how regular and routine ISS missions have gotten, in a good way. I don't think some of the polar research stations get the same level of resupply and personnel transfer, especially not in the winter.

Still crazy to note that the CRS-3 failure was the only unintentional Loss of Vehicle (not counting that one ascent Abort test for Dragon 2) for Falcon 9… now with 200 flights.

2015 was a year of trial and error for the station We lost Dragon 7 and the IDA 1 and we lost Progress M27M when it span out of control due to a failure related to the engines on the Soyuz U rocket causing Ruscosmos to switch to the Soyuz FG for all future launches. Cygnus returned to flight but they had to hitch a ride on an ATLAS until Launch Pad 0A was repaired. SpaceX also had their own problems so did Energia the Proton Rocket was blowing up which bumped Nauka to 2021 and SpaceX all their boosters crashed and burned and one blew up destroying Launch Pad 40. By the end of 2015 everyone worked out the bugs and returned to flight. Next time on ISS 2016 and the International Docking Adapters finally get delivered to the station.

Sometimes I forget how dicey 2014/15 were in terms of American ISS missions. It really makes one appreciate how essential Roscosmos were to the success of humanity’s permanent presence in Space.
