The pentominoes puzzle has been around for a long time. It helps expand math skills; along with logical thinking; spatial skills; and strategic abilities. The word “Pentominoes” is a combination of the words pento (meaning five) and the latter part of the word “dominoes”. The 12 pentominoes shapes are the result of the side-by-side combination of five squares (hence, “pento”), of the same size.
