This is the first time I've seen people being mad at a man doing a girl group dance??? Men covering girl group dances has always been normal in kpop...these hater have to be new kpop fans or something. I've realized I see more of these hateful comments under dance groups that have less diversity as well. As someone who has been following kpop dance covers in New York, I've realized something odd recently. There are a few kpop dance groups that are either fully or mostly Asian in NYC recently (which there's nothing wrong with) in comparison to before when the New York kpop dance teams were much more diverse. I saw that these groups are way more popular and get much more views despite being new and I think it's because a bunch of koreaboos are flocking to them (and we know most of these koreaboos are straight and fetishize Korean people and so will flock to any sort of Asian content). So maybe that could be why I see more negativity or odd comments under the less diverse groups because they unfortunately attract the weirdos. Whatever, Michael and all the girls did a fantastic job. Also, this is all just a theory so let me know if you guys agree or disagree. I wanna hear more viewpoints. Maybe I'm reading into it too much.
