Seiko ' Pogue ' - Disassembly Guide - Part 3 - Movement Side

Welcome to a short series of videos where we look at how to strip down the common Seiko Pogue or 6139-6002. In this third video we continue with the movement side.

Please excuse any focus or wobble issues i am using a new camera and this series is its first victim. Also be aware that having a camera in front of your face makes producing these videos a touch more difficult than normal circumstances :)

Normally i would be using a loupe from a few inches and not a few feet away, so any errors are due to lack of sight :)

Very classy video, no commentary is needed. Chrono repair is not for beginners. After 9 months of repairs, I know exactly what you are doing and what the parts are called. And why you are doing as you are. This video is almost as relaxing as working on a movement myself. Don’t change anything!

I liked your video very much. Even without words your hand movement is great, plus written text helps a lot. Congrats!

Do you service other people’s watches? I have a Seiko 6139-6005 (blue dial) made in feb 1973 that I’m looking to get serviced and the reset button isn’t functioning right. If so would you lmk because I’m trying to find someone that has experience with these vintage seikos and if you can refinish cases I am looking to have the case refinished to original as well.
Thank you

Maybe zoom in a bit more. Can hardly see the parts.

Great video, but it would be far more instructional to hear you describe the process as you go, and to detail the components as you remove them, instead of the music 👍
