They missed the most valuable resource, fresh water! Hard to extract resources without it and of course even harder to survive :). Brazil, Russia and Canada will be the largest exporters of water intensive crops. The US and China have lots of water too but the US at some point will likely have to pipe water from the Midwest or elsewhere to the Southwest states unless they can figure out a cheaper way to desalinate. China is already building the largest pipeline in order to provide water for Beijing. There are always solutions but they all are expensive.

Canada has a lot more oil, then their letting on. Also, I might add, there is a lot of ice covering, over burden, etc. that's not revealing a lot. Was it early 2000's they found diamonds in the north, and as far as iron ore, there's mountains of it. Never mentioned jade. Copper, ....

They talk about the reserves of coal in China but the coal in China is a very poor grade that is why they import so much coal from Australia. Australia's coal is world class and is used to mix with other poor grades of coal around the world to bring the shoddy coal up to a level of suitabilty to burn in their power stations and to make steel.
