Heidegger does not fail us. He shows we are more than what das Man levels us down to be…one can take up responsibility towards one’s possibilities. May in death arise one’s essence to be. Death do I not fear to be but arise from it.

Being In Time is the most powerful book one can read in philosophy which opens up philosophizing. A philosophy that’s alive n growing.

Part of what I get from Heidegger is a lot like what I get from Wittgenstein: Heidegger shows that you experience Being through particular processes in time, just like how Wittgenstein shows that thought can only exist through the movement of the hand when writing or the movement of the lips when speaking or through the use of images etc. In the case of Being, though, anything that can be used to experience it at the same time obscures it. That seems to be why every time Heidegger gets very specific with his terms he eventually has to change them again: the experience of Being can’t be stable. It is through the change from what we are given to what we will have that we have anything at all.
