Clear Ice Tutorial - See how to make it yourself

With clear ice week in progress it's really important for a lot of us to know how to make clear ice at home so, here it is officially, our first video with a voiceover! Yup, that's how I sound 😂

There is so much I can talk about clear ice and 60 seconds is not enough so maybe depending on the reception of this video I'll think of making more such videos to let you know the importance of clear ice and bust some myths !

Thank you for this short, but sweet video without 10 minutes of rambling! I can't wait to try this! Please don't remove it :)

I tried complimenting the ice with star anise too before putting them in the freezer. Different, but kinda works.

Worked great. I needed smaller cubes and my clear ice machine I bought came out cloudy and runny. I make 18 cubes now and 2 spears for my Collins glass. And with the ice I break away I uses for shaking vodka martinis.

So it's been about a month and this totally works. I've been using it to supply my wife's bnb with ice. So 💯 this has been the best cheap way to do it at home.

Tried this technique today, almost worked. It looks like 90% of the ice is clear starting from top. The bottom 10% is cloudy. Wondering why that is. The holes were not blocked. Thanks.

This is what I do but with 2.5 inch silicon molds so that i can convert the cubes into sphere with the Japanese mold I have. What do you put at the bottom though? I put random stuffs to balance.

What's your source for the silicone ice trays? The ones on Amazon have complaints about their smell or that they leave flakes in the ice or on glassware.

Do you have a bar freezer? If so what kind? I am looking for something that can store the small cooler, have ice storage, and chill some cocktail glasses.

Once finished, can you refill the mold, and put it on the melting ice. Or do you have to start with water after every freezing process?

Is it possible to get this kind of result when using one of those fabric, soft ice bags that are upholstered with foil?

I wonder if you could stack multiple ice trays with holes for that?

What did you put under the cube tray to help it float?

What about the leftover ice in the box? Do I have to take it out or just refill the mold
