I live in the US and all I can say is, I'm Sorry and that's freaking ridiculous, keep up the good work and I will be waiting for your next video

Holy God man. I have been keeping up with your overall predicament via your videos, and while it always seemed like a very overbearing hassle, this really brings everything into a sharp focus. I am very sorry that you and yours have to deal with this level of hand-wrining bureaucracy. Good luck down there.

As someone who lives in Queensland, i am sad to hear this. If i lived in SA i more than likely wouldn’t bother. Too much mucking around.

I do like shooting/ Gel Blasters under Category A licence is S.A that is better than not allowed to have Gel Blasters but in Victoria where i'm from the law says there is no legal reason to have it under a real firearm licence my only choice is to shoot licence firearms

This makes me extremely glad to be in the us. I can go and order from evike and have it sent to my house. What caused australia to do it this way? I know there is some other countries where you have to register airsoft rifles

As an American i will never understand why they want to restrict gel blasters to such an extent. Seems like it’s almost less restrictive to own a firearm- almost

My family threw away all the blasters we owned, about 3-4 thousand worth I think, including metal parts, replacements, gears, etc. Didn't want to hand them in because we assumed we could be in some sort of police record for it. We are a minority in Australia, so getting a police record and getting a firearm license is a big no no, we can't take chances and don't want that attention just in case, people think its equal for how everyone gets treated, but in very rare occasions it sadly isn't the case.
Also just the humiliating fact that you have to get a license for a toy, and all the stigma around it, definitely not going through with that.

The most fun hobby I ever had along with gaming, knew the workings of a blaster inside and out., same with airsoft. Now I have to go do some boring ass jogging if I want the health benefits lol, gel blasters definitely helped me get through university with my mental health.

A bit of incorrect information in this video. Category A+B license holder here (real guns), went through the process last year so I know what I'm talking about.

The training course for a firearms license is not a 3 day course, it's a single day course. There is no reason not to apply for a Cat A+B license, with POU 1/2/3/4 for Cat A and POU 2/3 for Cat B (don't put in POU 1 for Cat B, that will require separate club training for that category) if you're applying for a license just for a Gel Blaster. It's still a 1 day course, and you still need to buy a safe. You just get the ability to purchase an actual firearm and go hunting/target shooting on private property if that's something you'd like to do in the future.

Also, Gawler Fishing and Outdoors are top blokes. Great choice for a local store. 👍

I understand their reasoning of keeping people safe ( even if I don't agree with all of it) but wow that bureaucracy sure makes someone a lot of money.

mainstay.

Jesus Christ… I live in Queensland and all I needed to do is ride on my bike to the store, and choose the kriss vector V2 then give the guy $250 and it’s mine. I’m surprised that it’s very different in sa

hey brad, I'm genuinely curious about this, how illegal is it to make your own gel blaster is a similar manner to making a nerf gun? (in SA)

I know that this might be a bit of a dumb thing to ask someone from WA but do you know what the process is in Victoria?

Question:
These rules are stupid, but do you think they're gonna get changed for the better any time soon?
