You forgot to mention the Chicken's outstanding performance! She get no love. :(

I'm so over Smith being right where she has to be, right when she has to be there, to take advantage of a situation, manipulate the Robinsons and then live to see another day. She has literally, no obstacles.

5:40 I cried during her negative encouragement to her father! Who ever wrote that is a genius! The moment was a rare perfect moment in films that are too far and between. The musical score matched perfectly as well!

I barely got through Season I because the characters (with very few exceptions) were insufferable. In Season II they seem to have toned down the very abrasive nature of the characters and they were all actually quite likeable - even Smith. Overall I was most impressed with how Exciting each episode was- every episode the characters couldn’t have been in more peril, and the danger of the week format really kept the series going at a screaming pace. I loved it! Massive improvement over Season I

Yeah, this season was just incredible. There's some wonky science and stuff, but I agree with pretty much everything you said, and the time skip between seasons was handled really well and made sense. Most shows, it's a new peril every 10 or 15 days over the course of a year. In this show, the first season happened over about six months, there were seven months between seasons where nothing much happened, and then everything in this season happened in about a week. Presumably there'll be another time skip next season as well, during which not a lot happened. That's unusual, but totally worked, and I *love* that the Robinsons are now a fully-functional family. The dysfunction of the first season was kind of annoying to me, as there was never any doubt that they'd get it patched up, but if they'd been this functional in season 1, it would have just seemed corny. Here, though, their commitment seemed well earned.

When the subject of the mutiny came up, my kid said, "Wow, they're going full Severed Dreams here, aren't they?" Refering to Babylon 5, and I said, "Oh, good, glad to know it wasn't just me that felt that way."

I politely disagree about Penny, though. I thought she was a pretty great character in season 1, kind of reckless, kind of adrift, kind of boy crazy. We needed at least one kid who acted like a kid, and she did that great. Her maturing in the 2nd season was a good payoff to that, though I do agree the whole "I'm not useful" thing in the first 2 episodes was a little tedious.

Give 'The 100' another chance. It gets way darker and cooler in later seasons. It has some truly exhilarating arcs :)

I take it all back! I struggled with the first 2 episodes.... But gave it a chance... I found that my original opinion was crap! My son and I just binged 7 episodes in a row! Thanks for not spoiling it! I humbly apologize....

My biggest question is on the shows timeline? They conveniently leave out any specific dates...this is the 24th colonists group, so 23 previous missions? But the alien engine arrived with that Christmas star event...idk it just doesn't make sense with the time frame...

I'm not gonna lie, I've basically just been treating this version of Lost In Space as if it's a Star Trek show about a bunch of colonists, because it's exactly the kind of stories that I wish we really got to explore more of in the Star Trek universe. Also, I just really love this family A LOT, this cast together is really just pitch perfect and their bond with each other is my favorite thing. Hell, half the time I don't even care about the story or script or whatever, I could watch all of them just interacting as a family and it's enough for me. I can't wait for more seasons of this show, I really love it!

Just thru watching season two. I enjoyed it. I did think that Dr. Smith was walking around free was a little confusing.

I loved season 2. I remember making fun of the fact, in my own mind, that in almost every episode there was some heart wrenching climatic scene that i thought was so cheesy, yet somehow i still had tears in my eyes. Not sure what that means, but somehow it worked.

Thoroughly enjoyed season 2. As you said, they fixed most of season 1's flaws. The characters gelled together far better and were more relatable and likeable for the most part.

Interesting your comments about the emotional beats in the episode focused on Judy and her dad. The director of that episode was Jon East, who was also involved with the series Rocket Man - which had a LOT of familial heartstring pulling going on... also successfully, I felt. :)

Most critics focus on trashing productions. Listening to honest opinions from someone who appreciates the efforts made by the entertainment industry to provides shows we enjoy is appreciated by me. FAB and SIG Bro.

I enjoyed season 1of Lost in Space, however season 2 took the show to a whole new level in terms of what has been discussed, the VFX were INSANE and my opinion of certain characters (in particular Maureen) has changed for the better. Season one, Maureen was my least favourite, in the way she was toward John and her pushy attitude in general, S2 she seemed to compromise more and show more empathy.

'Smith' aka Zoe Smith aka Jessica Harris (together with John) is my favourite character. I never know what to make of her, a survivor? Yes, who seems sincere at times only to betray (and with that smile, always that smile).

So looking forward to season 3!

Ten episodes are not enough to fully tell the story without rushing through. That’s the problem with TV today, too few episodes.

"Smith " simply sucked the life out of the show.

I really wanted to like Lost in Space, the movie has a special place in my heart (I know it wasn't the best film but it was one of my favourites as a child).

However, there are just too many characters making absolutely absurd decisions. I mean, how many of the issues that came up could have been resolved if these people just talked to each other? Or if conversations involed more than 2 people:

•In season 1 when Smith was locked up and told Maureen her real name, then when John spoke to Smith, she denied saying it and implied Maureen was delusional. If the Robinsons spoke to her together, no problem!

•In this season, the security guy who was on to Smith; did he not tell anyone he suspected she was lying before being paralysed? Did he make no notes or logs? And Smith just walks free?? Are you kidding me? If there was another guard in the room or if the guy made any notes or told someone else, no problem!

•In this season; If West was just honest with the Robinsons, Smith would have nothing on him then no problem!

•In this season when Maureen finds out that Smith has been escaping her room, she doesn't tell John because she wants to leave the planet... What?? Smith tried to kill the Robinsons and is now freely moving about and this raises no alarms?

I just don't understand why this family just doesn't communicate. And why oh why do they not deal with Smith? They know she's not only dangerous, but she's murderous! They just let her roam around causing trouble and hurting people and they act like they just don't care or even notice?? I ended up getting so frustrated that I had to stop watching it. The examples I gave are only a few of the ones I remember.

So in conculsion: I think it sucked.
