An SMTP relay is a protocol that allows email to be transmitted through the internet, collecting email from the sender and delivering it to the recipient’s local inbox, another SMTP server.

This is why it's so important to have a strong SMTP relay server on the sender side. If the receiving server does not recognize it, you run the risk of being blocked.

It's like someone knocking on your door. Would you rather have someone you know or someone that you've never met before?
