How to Fly the DCS AH-64D Apache #2: Trim settings and Force Trim Release

Part 2/4, show how Force Trim Release locks in your Cyclic & Pedals to alleviate constant pressure. I see some indications ED may implement a (cheat) Trim Reset later. It's still not a hold mode allowing you to go truly hands-free for minutes at a time, but a good trim will keep you stable for a good many seconds without you cramping up your wrist and ankles.

Hopping back into the cockpit...

I have a fairly stable joystick with a 15cm extension. Using the extension, the light spring is barely enough force to recenter the stick on its own, so it's practically springless. However, I am worried that the "springless" mode won't work as well because it is hard to use curves if you are constantly operating off-center.

I could use Instant trim, but with the light spring it feels like I have to work harder to snap the stick back to center to avoid over-controlling when I set the trim. SO maybe I use a stiffer tension with instant trim mode?

TL;DR: I am debating between the following:
- INSTANT TRIM w/ stiff spring + soft curves
- INSTANT TRIM w/ light spring + soft curves
- JS Without Springs w/ light spring + no curves

Do you have any thoughts? What is your setup like?

Of course I have a VIRPIL CM3 (with the dry clutch) on backorder, so I will probably have to reevaluate whenever that finally arrives, as well...

Ahuh Ahuh so the Trim Control in the Black Shark equals the Force Trim R/up in the Apache.
