Day Trading and Investing in the Stock Market are two very different practices that simply cannot be compared side by side. Below are the KEY differences:
1. Holding period

3. Leveraged Buying Power
4. Risk of day trading vs Investing
5. Day Trading is a business and taxed like employment income.

1. Always have two accounts: daytrading and investment.
2. Do not always believe in what industry a stock is placed. Example: Tesla is not a car company. It is a technology company. Apple is not a technology company. It is a consumer products company. Know and understand what you are trading or investing in and why.
3. The only good stock is one that goes up! Regardless of the fundamentals.
4. When I taught daytrading, all students were required to paper trade, but then, when they started daytrading with their own money . . . things changed. They would lose their money because they could not follow the cardinal rules and the three headed monster would rear its ugly head. What is the three headed monster? Fear, greed and hope. "Why did you keep that stock when it was going down? Why didn't you sell immediately? I hoped, it would go back up. Hope, will not make a stock go back up." Or I used to get phone calls in the middle of the night. "My stomach hurts. I can't sleep." My reply, "Get out of the stock market!"

I like when she gets aggressively sarcastic.

I day trade until I screw up, then the position turns into an investment :)

A nice mix of the two. It's like flipping a house vs renovating to rent.

One of the most important tips I can point out is DONT PUT IN MONEY YOUR AFRAID TO LOSE!! Many people have for example $1000 they want to put into stocks and they blow it all one company and lose it all. Play smart and buy-in over time if it continues to grow. I'm only 15 y/o and i started with $200 and I played the market very patiently. In 4 months I've profited $1500+ with only $200.

Great video that puts goals and timing in perspective! A lot does depend on someone’s risk tolerance, age, income, etc. I definitely invest long term but do try to swing trade regularly as well but just using a smaller portion of my disposable income. 👍🏻❤️💕

Thanks. It's awesome to see someone give advice cautiously and turning people away by giving a reality check.

I day trade and make 1-5% of my total account by day trading. Most important is to cut losses at eod and take profit.

Also only day trade 1-2 only. 3 is max and pushing it. But possible. I advise 1-2 day trades a day.

Daytrading vs. Investing is like Netflix and chill vs. picking out the wedding patterns

Also, one is you're trading a price number. The other is trading a business.

You should do all. Day, swing, long term investing. Take your profits from day and swing and invest in long term investments that will appreciate and select those that pay dividends. This is a smart play.

Great advice, just got into investing this week, gone down the investing route rather than day trading 👍 I have 3 businesses already so I dont need another day job.

I started day trading just over a month ago using options and I live it💯! I’m still working full time and work four tens. Just learning to be consistent taking small positions and being patient and disciplined! Still got a long way to go!

One more difference between them is we do not have an investing channel hosted by you :)

I watched your video early last year, when I started trading stocks. I didn't have time so I ended up doing the investing option. I ended up with around 27% ahead now, even after the huge price drop at march. Thanks for getting me started. I might start to look into day trading later. Also you definitely got a lot better on your videos. Wish you reach 1M sub by the end of this year :)

Investing is merely long term swing trading :-)
The goal of all trading is the same.
