Its probably no better than growing up in the city, but I'm so thankful I got to grow up in rural Maine. Very little pollution of any kind up north, and it's so serene.

Recently, I went to Yellowstone, and it was breathtaking on how many stars you could see. As somebody who is growing up in the city, you cant even see a starlink train, and its really upsetting often

Personally I think that whenever a big astronomical event happens (e.g. when Halley’s Comet comes back) everyone in the area should shut their lights off that night.

It's really upsetting watching natural beauty that we thought would be there forever begin to fade. It's sad and poetic that the stars are still there, we're just so focused on destroying our own planet that they've left us. We proved we were undeserving of the stars.

I used to live in a town where the street lights were on all night and some birds kept singing throughout the night.

Where I am living right now, I can always see a ton of stars. It's beautiful.

I went to north cascades national park 3 months ago and saw the sky with almost no light pollution, it was incredible how many stars and constellations you could see, I always wish I could go back.
