I've owned 6 Honda Accords built in Marysville, Ohio (from 1984 to 2019 models). They've all been of extremely high quality with little or no issues. It just shows what can be accomplished when fantastic engineering meets high quality production standards matched with quality people. That being said, I recently sat in a 2023 Accord and I must say, the cost-cutting measures they took in the new Gen Accord are, to a true Honda fan like me, absolutely appalling. I'm shocked none of the Youtubers are talking about this. It is IMMEDIATELY evident upon scanning the dash and doors. Go see one for yourself, and just compare it to the 10th Gen. What a let-down, Honda. What were they thinking? That we wouldn't notice? WRONG!

The Prelude should be what they call the EN. The Prelude was always so sporty looking and way ahead of its time

I love my 2020 Accord so much that we had put an order in for a new 2023 Accord Touring as soon as it was possible. We wanted to trade in our 2018 Camry for the new gen Accord. I kept hoping that it would look better in person, and we loved the past accords so much that the good would definitely outweighs the bad. Well it arrived at the dealership, and my wife and I really wanted to like it. However, once we both looked at it, we knew right away, this car was not for us. To me it looked worse in person and one of the most boring designs out there right now. We left the dealer and have now decided to wait to see what the new 2024 Camrys will look like. We have the 2018 Camry and felt it fell way short of the 10th gen Accord. Well that was then, this is now, and hopefully the trend had flipped. I never thought we would be walking out of the dealer ship without our new Accord, but that is exactly what just happened. Looks like we will be driving our 2018 Camry a while longer now.

My first car in hs as a junior was a 1990 accord dx coupe with black bumpers (car was dark grey) a 5 speed manual and no ac. My parents bought it for me with 87k miles in 1993 Loved that thing, ah the good ole days😊

I remember back in 1976 when I first saw the Honda Accord three door hatchback. I was impressed with it's features and quality. In 1982 I test drove the second gen Accord. I loved it. The salesman did everything right except ask me to buy it. My own car was paid for but I think if the sales guy said, why don't we get the paper work started I would have pulled the trigger. However, I went home to think it over and decided to keep my current ride because I was debt free. Still, I should have gone back and bought it. Honda Accords rock. Cheers!!!!

I have lived in central Ohio for 30 years and worked in Marysville for 25 years. The workers at Honda will make great electric vehicles just like they made motorcycles, lawn mowers and those weird little CRVs that now dominate. Change is a all good! Kirk If you want to do an interesting story go to the Marysville STEM school and see Honda's investment in the community and workers of the future, really awesome! Don't look at the weird white uniforms unless they have on red underwear.

I think these car companies are taking a huge gamble with EVs considering that they make up such a small percent of auto sales. I don't know if it is pressure from government and or the green crowd but it seems to be a mistake for these car companies to build products that most people don't want. I run an Avis/Budget car rental and we have a few EVS but people really don't want to rent them as thy really don't want to take the time to charge them and miss their flights . Our Chevy Volts and Teslar 3s just seem to collect dust.

I had an 89 Accord LXi in Sherwood Green Metallic with a 5 speed, one of my favorite cars ever!

1982: People were concerned the US version would be worse.
No worries: Nothing like the crap, squishy, US-made Rabbits from that era.
Also 1982: Bought my first car: A Honda Kei Car (1972 Honda N600).
Good stuff Kirk👍

Been driving Accords for 30 years. I recently had 2 Accords as of 6 weeks ago, with the intent to change the oldest one to the new Accord. When I saw this model I made can immediate change of plans because it would take an act of Devine intervention to get me in this generation Accord. The exterior is as boring as it comes and they are now joining the chorus of only providing grey or black interior. I might forgive the exterior styling but THAT la k of interior color choice is unforgivable. Not everyone wants the mortician black. So I finally entered the SUV market and got be the MDX Advance where I could get a PARCHMENT interior. No claustrophobia for me.

I am profoundly disappointed with the direction Honda is going. I am a 38 year exclusive customer of theirs. I've owned 11 Hondas and 8 Acuras. Currently have a '21 Accord Touring 2.0T, that I happen to love. The '23 Accord is about as bland as they come, which I would excuse if they offered a performance variant of the Accord. But for the top trim to only offer a 204hp hybrid engine is inexcusable in my opinion. Honda has always had the reputation of being the more driver focused manufacturer among its peers and offered higher performing versions of the Accord since they introduced the V6 model in 1995. Turning away from performance and seemingly embracing electric vehicles is almost blasphemous in my opinion. I don't care if they want to build EVs but not to the exclusion of ICE models, which appears to be happening. But to each his own I suppose. I'm sure the customers of the '23 Accord Hybrid will enjoy the great fuel economy it offers. However, I will sorely miss the Accord V6s and 2.0Ts that I have sincerely loved over the years.

I always preferred Civics over Accords. Since the Gen Xl Civic, I've flipped the coin.
This Accord is quite nice. But I'm still a big fan of the previous Accord Sport 2.0T. That was my all time favorite.

Is it so hard to make North American consumers to like Hatchbacks and station wagons? This will make the Accord so versatile especially when equipping with hybrids, and will make Subaru Outback a run for their money....

The Accord death keeps on keeping on😭 It started out with Honda ending Accord assembly on the night shift at their plant back in 2019.

I had 1993 Honda Accord its a wonderful car, the 4 cylinders however you have a feeling of 6 cylinders….. My wife love the accord over her 1994 Lexus ES.

Previous gen accord is better in every way. This new one just feels like a cheaper alternative in every way
