Fluid Art with HUGE CELLS! Rainbow color swipe! New tool for acrylic pours!

“Rainbow Reveal”
Acrylic pour on canvas
10x20”
I use Liquitex Basics mixed with Floetrol, 1/4 paint to 3/4 Floetrol. There is silicone oil in all the colors for this pour. Layer the colors in stripes across the canvas.
The best swipe tool I have found is the open mesh shelf liner! It washes up and can be used many times. It always produces awesome cells!
Now comes the tilt. Take your time and pour off each corner. The trick is to watch the body of paint as it moves in a puddle. You will not be able to keep all the paint, so let the edges go. Watch your composition form and keep the best part.
I do use a torch at the end to finish the cell formation and pop any air bubbles. It takes several days for the paint to dry. It needs to be kept perfectly level!
I typically paint with Liquitex Basics in rainbow colors, dioxazine purple. Quinaridone magenta, orange, yellow, aqua and cobalt blue. I used the white to swipe over the colors.
