MINECRAFT SILVERFISH IN REAL LIFE?!

You might recognize silverfish from minecraft but they're a problem in real life too. Sometimes referred to as “bookworms”, librarians and museums hate them. Although they aren't actually “worms”, they are a 400 million year old, primitive lifeform, adept at surviving without eating for up to a year and able to regenerate appendages. While harmless to humans they are deadly to books and love to eat the paper, glue, and other dry material in them, especially in the spines. They live all over the world and might even be living in your house right now without you even knowing!
