I grew up in a house where the L word was never said. I mean, we knew we did love each other. We just never said it. We weren’t starved for affection. Or at least I don’t think I felt that way. But when I got married, I told my husband every day we are going to tell our kid we love them. And we do, I tell my daughter every day. I love you. When she wakes up when she’s just passing by the living room to go to her room because she’s 17 and lives only in her room 😂 when I talk on the phone with her when I say good night the last thing I always say is love you. And my husband does this too.
