Some reflections on fiction and escapism, James Herriot and LotGH

Succumbed to boredom and watched some fiction, All Creatures Great and Small and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I recommend them as models of right wing ways to present drama. People often talk about making rightist media without it becoming overt propaganda. Well, series like these two is how to do it.

The article I wrote about escapism:

I don't really like anime but Lotgh is a breath of fresh air. I recommend watching it if you haven't.

Should have made 2 points I forgot. Legend of the Galactic Heroes is very Archeofuturist. Essentially Prussia but in Space. Space ships overflying castles among pinewoods. It's really close to how I would imagine an ideal Archeofuturist society would be if Imperial Germany and the Kaiser had survived into the space age. Inspirational. I also didn't focus on the idea that these two series are in my opinion the "right" way to do nationalist/rightists media. The Distributist talks about this often, the need for more media on our side, but the concern is to not make it overtly propagandistic. Well, these two series are to my idea exactly that. Apolitical but very clearly right wing and traditional. Criticism of democracy and populism in the one, praise for country and family life in the other.

My article on counter currents about escapism:

I get my drama from livestreams these Millenial Woes doing some cheeky sniping on Faust, and Faust returning fire.

Based. I’ve been trying to turn people in this sphere on to LotGH for a long time now and I’m very glad to hear your thoughts on it. Hopefully Morgoth will give it a chance next as I think it’s right up his alley.

The 70's BBC series "Ghost stories for Christmas ' the first five are adaptations of M.R James and the sixth Shakespeare, you can find them on the Tube, classic British drama.

The irony is that while Netflix pushes the poz as much as any media company, it's also one of the few places where I can find good foreign films or series. For example, a German series about ancient Rome called Barbaren will be released on Netflix this Friday. It'll be worth it simply for the German practice.

Faust, I'm curious about the details of your demographic viewership; is it overwhelmingly germanic(as I suspect) or are the latin western countries also represented? Sincerely, a Norwegian.
