What do you do when your character has a skeleton set up where the pelvis and the spine are children of a com bone? The program doesn't seem to like that and wants the spine to be a child of the pelvis only. Any advice?

so i have to rig the character beforehand. do i also have to weightmap the character before i import it into cacadeur? or can i do weightmapping in cascadeur?
