Ten 5⭐️ reads out of 70 books is honestly really impressive I feel! (: I’m glad you had such a great reading year overall and I hope 2025 is just as good/is if not better! ❤

you're sincerely my favorite new-to-me booktuber 💕 no judgment on needing "suffering" in books -- i always say that i need "resilient" characters haha

The way Society of the Snow lived rent free in my mind for months after I watched it, PHEW. I had thought about reading the survivors novel novel but was afraid it would break my heart even more 😩

Love your videos! 🤍

Foster hit me hard as well. Probably harder than Small Things Like These. I related to the character so much, and that ending had me feeling things.

My top last year was Look at Me by Anita Brookner.

Miracle in the Andes is definitely on my reread list for 2025 as I know I liked it but it’s been awhile. Thanks for jogging my memory of how good it was. The road is in my top 10 of all time and I like Cormac’s writing (not thrilled with who he was as a human though). I Who Have Never Known Men is Amazing and one of the 1st books I read in 2025. Great list, I will definitely add a few of these to my TBR. Glorious Exploits was my number 1 of 2024. Love your videos!! 🙏

Years ago I gave The Autobiography of Malcolm X 6 stars so they do exist 😊
Great list, definitely will check out some of these

I love your videos! they are the only ones I always watch when videos come into my feed :) I must say I disagree with I'm a fan, I really didn't enjoy it and found it quite repetitive, but the road is just fabulous, I read it one sitting on an airplane home and I loved the writing style, we can't all love the same books but that's the joys of talking about it! have a wonderful new year kat !!

"I'm Your Fan" was not in my top 10 of books from 2023, but in retrospect, it should have. It's so good, I still think about it 2 years later. Also, I am so happy Sunburnt is in your list of best books, because I'll be reading it soon <3

My top 3:

1- The Seamstress - Frances de Pontes Peebles
(It reminds me a lot of Elena Ferrante and Isabel Allende, but make it Brazilian. Do I need to say anything else? It's simply perfect)

2- Frankenstein - Mary Shelley (what was that here? The first science fiction book, it talks about bioethics, abandonment, loneliness. Wonderful).

3- I Who Have Never Known Men - Jacqueline Harpman
(I still think about it now, it's stuck in my head, I highly recommend it)

I loved the recommendations and the video 🩷

Wonderful video!

The passion with which you spoke of your top 10, particularly “Miracle in the Andes” was captivating. ( I’ve just bought it for my kindle!) Nonfiction is terribly underappreciated on booktube, so I’m delighted to hear you praise a memoir with such eloquence.

Looking forward to discovering and exploring more books alongside you in 2025!

Watching your video for the first time...your way of giving the review of a book seems to be beautiful...so concise and thorough.Really liked it.

Although I have not seen the Netflix adaptation, I saw a movie called Alive about the story of the plane crash in the Andes and I still think about it years after. I don’t know if it is mentioned in the book or if it is a liberty taken by the film crew but I vividly remember some members of team losing it after so many days and singing Happy Birthday to themselves even though it was not their birthday… I think I will add this book to my tbr, thank you very much for the rec!

The Days of Abandonment is SO. GOOD. And I never see anyone talk about it! Truly incredible. No one captures the experience of being a woman like Elena Ferrante. You described it perfectly - unfiltered and unapologetic. I love that she is never afraid to "go there" 👏

Wow, I definitely want to start reading Claire Keegan. Foster sounds like the Irish film ‘The Quiet Girl’.
