changing the sprocket size does not increase the actual top speed, its calibrated incorrectly and simply reading higher.

Could You measure actual GPS speed after changing display setting from 55T to 45T? I would expect the "Gr" and rear tire diameter are used by software to calculate road speed based on motor RPM. In that case You could see only higher speed indication on the display, while the real speed stays the same.
