I think this kit would be good for someone wanting to start out crocheting. I do agree with giving a list of You tube channels that show step by step instructions for beginners. I really like the hook set and notions that come in it. I might even buy it for myself. I think the yarn would be good for granny square projects. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this!

I love the accessory kit that came with it. I have three of those now. One I put together of my mom's crochet hooks I gathered after she passed, one with ergonomic hooks that my daughter gave me (which I love!), and one with light up hooks from my mother-in-law. It is so convenient to have them all together with needles and clippers. I am not a fan of the yarn or amount of it. For a beginner, I think it would be best to use the accessory kit and build your own with instructions for a simple scarf/hat/ear warmers and enough yarn to complete the project. This gives them something to work toward but not overwhelm them.

This is a really nice starter kit which some great notions. The variety of yarn has something for everyone. I would probably make a kit for some but this kit has a lot of hooks and yarn. Thank you for sharing this kit and doing a helpful review.

This was a great video to show off that kit. If I were a beginner I would def consider buying it. I do agree not knowing anything about that yarn is a bit hesitant on my end to give to friends/family. Thank you again for sharing!!

The accessory kit is the best thing about this kit. I would probably not purchase this, but put one together myself with a better book and maybe some links to some beginner tutorials. Thank you Mel for this give away and good luck to everyone.

I like it because it is great for starters. They can practice and practice crocheting squares or whatever and it will encourage them. I would get it for sure

I like this beginner kit. I've used a booklet like that years ago and it may be lacking in today's time but a beginner could get by with it. The accessories bag and its contents is great and has items i wouldn't think of. I agree, the main thing that's lacking is no information on the yarn. Thank you for the great review and the giveaway. It'd make a great short vacation/hospital stay project item and/or gift to give someone who is just learning. So, I'd probably purchase it but winning it would be better. LOL. Take care.

The needle accessory kit makes the whole kit special, helps to have storage to put in your take along with you. I think that the kit is great. There's a lot of things in the kit that I coild use so I would keep it. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

Yes it's a nice starter kit but I agree with you, grab a couple skeins from the dollar store, sometimes you can find hooks there too. The hook and accessory kit are the star of that kit. I got a small pouch hook set for my daughter for Christmas and I use it more than she does just because of the accessories. The tape measure even saved the day at a quilt retreat!
