Will be interested to see how you fit it in your ST. I put mine inside, in the floppy bay, and am starting to regret it because reaching the buttons is a pig.

Strange - my USB kit came with a button and the pins needed in the pack. I still think you should have a look at a cosmosex for a ST. It gives you so many things - like virtual floppies, virtual HDDs, network access, etc, etc.

I've just realised that the newer goteks have the red LED stuck out the front as well. Any idea what it's for? I don't really need it, no matter what it does, but just wondering why it's inside on ours?

Even better Firmware (FREE and open source) is "flashFloppy" . search it, install it. love it. buy the man a beer or two if you use it.

Does anyone know how the 3rd LED solderpoints are supposed to work ? at the green (and sometimes red) LED on the PCB, there is another pin with an LED symbol on the PCB soldermask. anyone knows how this is connected and can be used ?

ciao ho comprato emulatore Emulatore di unità floppy USB per attrezzature di controllo industriali da ebay ma lo metto nella macchina da ricamo e non mi riconosce ho la porta usb ho l'emulatore un amico ha portato il suo e va bene solo che vicino ce scritto SFR1M44 U100 USB come potrei fare si deve aggiornare il fw grazie

Hi, i'm now to your channel, and i've found it great and informative so far. one quick thing. I'm having trouble setting up my new Gotek and i was wondering if you done a set-up video with a step by step guide what to do and install etc on the USB stick???

Is there a similar setup for using the GOtek with an Amiga?

I noticed there are a few models of this product but the main difference is that one supports 720k and the other 1.44k. The one on the Gotek site says it supports 3 formats, the last being 1.2. Since the. ST only supported 720k images, so you know if I could still purchase a 1.44 model but create 720k images on the thumb drive?
