The major issue with adapting Punpun is that you can’t simply have it exist within one range it would have to be a combination of like cg/live/animation similar to like the amazing world of gumballs blend

This manga is extremely grounded and realistic. I picked this manga up a while ago and I’ve come to realize that it may have some relevance to our modern world. The spaceship and aliens parallels expertly to the COVID-19 pandemic and it’s scary

Yo, I remember recommending you Dededede again and again. I'm so happy that it's getting an anime. I've always thought this series was really under appreciated for how good it is. I just hope it'll be good.

And yes, if you've only read the first volume, you should definitely pick it back up. This is the kind of series, which you start to love the more you read it.

Asano Inio uses unreal engine to draw the background of the manga, he also uses a lot of real photo, so maybe the anime will also use similar techniques

Love this series a lot, though a bit surprised to hear that it's getting adapted at all given the subject matter and the pacing. Kind of amazing just how well it reflects certain events and the current mindset of society even before Covid hit. No idea how it'll turn out, fingers crossed for quality!

When I saw his tweet saying it was getting adapted I went out and bought the first 3 volumes. I had the series on my to radar for a bit since Pun Pun is one of my favs of all time but didn't get around to it till now. Also the other anime by Production +h isn't all that bad so it gives me hope for the adaption.

Maaan, I can't recommend Dedededemons enough. It's that kind of manga which can satisfy your Punpun-ish manga craving (it's Ino Asano after all). But one volume isn't enough, like, what would you say about Punpun after just one volume? Give it a try, after some point you'll end up swallowing whole volumes in a glimpse.
