In this tutorial, you'll learn how to create this versatile wire woven pendant. You can use either a square or a rectangle cabochon to create this piece. This weave really shows off the stone and is very secure.

So, let's get started!

Materials:
4 Segments of 20 gauge wire
* Determining the length needed - Figure out the distance around the stone and add about 6" to that measurement.
3-5 Feet of 28 gauge wire
And your chosen cabochon (Square or Rectangle)

Tools:
Chain Nose Pliers
Round Nose Pliers
Flush Cutters
Ruler
Flat Nose Pliers (Not necessary, but recommended).

This is great since I'm drawn to angular stones. It's a little complicated for me just starting out but I will try the capture method with a simpler weaving pattern for now. Thanks for sharing and for the detailed instructions.

Hi Ms. Ellie....I love your tuts!! However I seem to have trouble with math!!! I have measured my stone, made the frame, add my stone doesn't fit. So I tried again...and again, still wont fit....HELP. I know your a pro, but you seem to do all of this effortlessly.
