I get the 4 cylinder turbo gas pep, they all do. But will it, they hold up to cross country cruising piling the miles on? I love my 6 cyl.

I love the mercedes E class, i am seriously thinking of buying a 3 year old E class E 300.

Considering the added complexity of the mild hybrid and apparent lack of refinement of the four-cylinder, the fuel consumption is nothing to write home about. They should have put in a straight six with mild hybrid technology: more refinement and punch with likely a mild increase in fuel consumption, if any at all.

My history with high power 4 cyls is good up to about 100, 000 km where after they tend to start showing the stresses of these little engines working so hard. The average lease buyer from new will never see any of this but used buyers beware.

I have the E220d Mild Hybrid which was brand new April 2022 and it looks the same, after near 18 months of ownership i can say it drives beautifully and the gearbox is silky smooth, my only complaints are the buttons on steering wheel are to sensitive when you glance over them it can change the dash display and the collision alert is to sensitive too, it starts bleeping and it can slam the brakes on, i have a 2021 Mercedes Sprinter van and that as the same 2 complaints

love the front grill . the e450 has the 6 cylinder for a substantial uptick in price.

Thx, as great to know that the false engine sound through the speakers can be off, even if just in comfort mode.

On road price and options price are too steep compared to rivals Audi and BMW which come with more powerful 6 cylinder engines for less money.

Mild hybrid = fancy stop/start system. Definitely should have been a 6. Great review as always.

2 litres seems to be a sweet spot for newer hybrid vehicles- I hark back though to Mercedes twin cam in line sixes with anything above a 2.8 being a v8 in 350/450 NA form but that was 50 years ago so time changes but would be nice to see a hybrid small six for smoothness that only a six can bring :)

Lexus ES300h better value for money if acceleration to 100 kmh not an important consideration. The Lexus also looks more futuristic and unique. Also guaranteed to have better reliability
