Edit: I formed the comment kinda bad and I'm well aware how ignorant it sounds. I know the main point was that she dropped out of college and as a consiquence, the parents kicked her out.

Edit 2: Telling your kid: 'You can live with us if you are at school or get a job.' Isn't per say bad thing to tell your kid/teenager/adult child.

The story is simply painted their message in a way, as if they wouldn't take failiours or excuses and thus weaponizing the whole message, despite her having a valid reason to drop out.
We don't learn the full backstory here, so there might be other creators there, that we don't know of.
