The Galar pokémon on Ash's team are finally getting some well-deserved respect from the writers and the fandom. I am so hyped for the next episode because splitting this battle into 3 episodes was the right call.

Ash's Sirfetch'd is absolutely the MVP of the battle, the way it refused to fall to the ground even after running out of stamina and how it almost knocked down Cynthia's Garchomp.

I'll be honest if Cynthia wins at this point I wouldn't complain at all. She hasn't disrespected or looked down on Ash at all and has shown nothing but determination since part one. I think they've established a strong motivation for her to fight till the end as well and so far based on what I've seen in this fight I think she wants it more as well... I hope Ash can dig in and show his true resilience because this should be the hardest battle he's ever fought.

I'm torn on Ash using his old Pokemon or his Journey's Team. Using his old Pokemon would give Ash an advantage because Leon hasn't seen him using them, while also giving us fans a chance of seeing them battle again. On the other side, Ash's Journeys Team has been marketed as his strongest Team, with it appearing in Masters and in other promotional materials. Plus we haven't seen his Journeys Team that much in the anime.

To be honest I want Ash to use his old Pokemon, just so I can see a monkey fight between Infernape and Rillaboom.

Really smart of Cynthia to opt out for Togekiss instead of her already tired Garchomp and that really goes to show Cynthia is really experienced while also showing she’s actually traveled(via the acquisition of dynamx band and key/mega stones) as opposed to saying “she simply got stronger”.

As a fan of Cynthia with Garchomp as my all time favorite Pokemon, this is probably the most hype Pokemon battle for me in the anime thus far.

it was really an excellent move by Cynthia, I am just loving this Twist so much, writers really did far more better than I expected... Sirfetch'd the MVP changed the fate of whole battle and destroyed Cynthia's huge pressure on Ash... she didn't expect her Garchomp would take a huge hit like this... (it was kinda a nice answer by Ash after what happened to his own ace Pikachu). She knew her Togekiss was careless against Lucario and her Garchomp is damaged a lot...So She had to boost Togekiss to hit hard Lucario as much as possible to set the stage for Garchomp...otherwise Mega Lucario would easily beat Togekiss and get huge advantage over already tired Garchomp.... On the other hand Mega Garchomp is accepted as one of the worst (maybe the worst) mega evolutions... And Iris was about to defeat her even without any gimmick... Just calm down and get hyped... Cynthia is giving her BEST there.. . and she definitely made a Champion level move with GMAX... you never know she can use Baton pass and boost her Garchomp with Togekiss... this is Cytnhia after all... for me the episode is 9.5/10 ... if Part 3 also delivers this will be one of the Best top 3 Pokemon battle contender...

Edit: Also This makes her true champion instead of someone who relies on single pokemon in her team... I mean do you expect Ash is the only one who is capable to use more than 1 gimmick? For me this made Cynthia even better battler in my eyes... She is ready for every kind of situation... only people without strategy relies on single plan so in this case one pokemon... Her Garchomp doesn't even need Mega evolution to be a monster... Remember Ash went Gmax on his Gengar against Raihan instead of using Mega Lucario... because he knew Raihan had the momentum and Ash had to stop this... Every moment counts, this is a chess match now for Cynthia and Ash... and she has upper hand now..

I'm leaning toward Cynthia. She can retire at the top, Leon is defeated, Ash still has room to grow as a trainer. Probably not a popular take, but that's what I'm thinking right now.

A part of me is also thinking that a full episode against Leon and seeing all of his pokemon- not necessarily beating 5 of them, just he needs to get his full team out to do something- would be a 'win', like how Ash was the only person in Sinnoh who could knock out Darkrai.

I will say this: If Ash and Lucario manages to defeat Cynthia and Grachomp, this will go down as one of the greatest accomplishments in Ash's Pokémon Journey in the league. Idc if Ash beats Leon because that will be even better accomplishment than that, but Cynthia has been on this journey of this Pokémon franchise for a decade and she is one of the best and clever champions ever outside of Leon. I'm just saying, history will be made if that happens. Will see what happens. It's going to be very interesting to watch. Who wins: Its a toss up. My heart says Ash, but my gut is saying Cynthia.

Ash will go with her and they will both be transported in time to paldea? This 6v6 Semifinals battle Ash vs Cynthia is what I’ve been missing. I loved this weeks episode plenty. Super big ups to mr fish, ofc pikachu, but a huge shout out to Sirfetch’d and to Ash for requesting Sirfetch’d to Brutal Swing his shield knocking down Cynthia’s battlefield trap move & for landing those two perfectly actioned deadly Meteor Assaults to KO the Tender Pokémon and make that purple land shark thing stumble on her knees. These coming episodes will determine Ash’s level in his career! I love your videos, im excited to know your hot takes on the next episode!

I don't think Ash should use his journeys team in front of Leon because Cynthia already destroyed his all Pokemon accept Pikachu, and if he still use his journeys team in front of Leon definitely he can't beat him because Leon's rillaboom is capable to defeat his all Pokemon like he did with dyantha.

My only complaint is that Ash had 0 reason not to immediately Mega Evolve Lucario after he was sent out. That's it. Otherwise an amazing episode.
