I have two 1947 nickels with dots beside the 7 and what I believe to be a no-shoulder crease on a 1954. I’m going to get them checked out. Thanks for these videos.👍🏾

There is a 1960 Canadian nickel with four dots not listed but the Canadian News paper said they were die chips. I sold one 10 years ago for 60 dollars. I have 2 more.

I just found this channel by chance. I have a sort of a strange coin story. I worked for the Nova Scotia Liquor corporation for 40 yrs as a clerk/cashier and had many coins go through my hands. One of my strangest finds is a penny planchette that was struck as a nickel that came in a roll of nickels which came from the mint. The box was sealed with tape from the mint and all the nickel rolls were shrink wrapped in plastic and all the same date. I traded the penny for a nickel from my pocket which I did for all of the coins I collected from the till of which I have many, mostly silver quarters and dimes. I took the penny to a local coin dealer to see what was up and he told me that he thought it was someone messing around in their garage. I think he then thought I was going to think it was worthless and that he could keep it. I quickly asked for it back and left the shop. I found out later the he was sort of a shady character who would severely undervalue coins brought to his shop. Any thoughts on that.

I had some difficulty understanding the last coins' description. It was written as a BEAR belly?? but someone else said it was a BARE belly. The photos make more sense as the BARE belly. You have to love the English language. Thanks for a great video!

Those are still pretty common coins. I find them all the time. If what you say is true, where do I get them graded and who will buy them?

He overlooked the most iconic and rare Canadian nickel - the 1944 Tombac which is extremely rare but worth about $100, 000. I don't blame him for missing it as there is only ONE known to exist although it is said that 8, 000 were minted. There's one that came to auction a few years ago - asking price was over $200, 000. No takers. The last one sold for $52, 000 back in 1999.
