The Second Champ-Champ in UFC History

Daniel “DC” Cormier is an unassuming fighter, but this chubby Louisiana native used his olympic-caliber wrestling to dominate strikeforce where he would become the Heavyweight Grand Prix Champion in 2012.

Just one year later, DC would make his UFC Debut against frank Mir, and earn a decision victory.

Afterwards DC would beat 3 formidable opponents before facing off against his soon to be Rival Jon Jones.

Jones would defeat DC via UD, handing him his first loss, and denying him UFC gold.

But Jones would be stripped of his title for various controversies, which allowed DC to win the vacant lightheavyweight title against Rumble Johnson.

And after defeating Gustafson, Anderson Silva, and Rumble again, DC would rematch Jon Jones, where Jones would finish Cormier, but DC would retain the belt due to a doping violation by Jones.

DC defended his belt against Ozedemir then moved up to heavyweight and shockingly defeated heavyweight great Stipe miocic to become

Outside of losses to Jones and Miocic, who are the best in their respective weight classes, DC had an unbelievable career and deserves to go down as one of the best to ever do it.

DC could of been the UFC heavyweight champion earlier because he didn't want to beat up his friend Cain Velasquez at the time so that was why he moved light heavyweight, after DC became the light heavyweight champion then he moved to heavyweight to become double champion.

One of the greatest to ever do it and genuinely one of the nicest people in the UFC. This man was an absolute treat to watch.

I can understand DC disliking Jon Jones. Without Jones, DC will be considered one of the GOATs in all GOAT list forsure without Jones beating him twice.

The crazy thing is if it wasn’t for jbj we very well could be talking about dc as the goat

DC is a legend. If Bones didn't exist or he would have beaten Jon in those matches, we might have viewed him as the GOAT.
