I’m priced out of even a 50% discount code if there were such a thing. Thanks for including this in full transparency. 1:18 😳

$4000 for wheels plus 4 new tires at $1200 for a total of $5200!!! That's insane for an SUV worth $43, 000. Thats more than 18% cost of the car... Sorry, it's too expensive for my wallet.

It’s been about 10 months since I sold my ‘22 Ioniq 5 - glad to see you continue to provide excellent content and useful accessories. Love the Martian wheels, they look great. Hope all is well!

The reason I went to Michelin CrossClimate 2 is here in BC with our temperate climate most winters we drive in the rain, but as the Ioniq 5 was to be our road tripper, our roads have winter tire requirements (3 peaks mountain snow flake rated) tires from Oct 1st, to May 1st every year through the mountains, these tires are excellent in the snow.

I would expect you are getting some snow today! Wheels look great. I'm still running stock rims/tires, but will need new tires next winter for sure.

The biggest factor for efficiency in winter isn’t heating of cabin or battery but the increased resistance of the battery when cold. This means both charging and discharging produces more heat loss inside the battery than at higher temperatures. This is by far the most significant factor. You find this with battery powered devices too. Their performance is weaker in the cold and the battery lasts shorter - but there is no such thing as heating for them. It’s a common myth that heating is reducing EV range drastically. It does reduce it but not so drastically. I myself actually rarely use heating even in winter (other than the seat heater which doesn’t consume much power) and I don’t precondition the battery either and yes I still see a big drop in range in winter.

I bought 20" FastWheels EV01+ for my 2023 Ioniq 5 when I had it, but mounted Michelin CrossClimate 2, 245/45R20 they are 3 peak mountain snow flake rated, still have those tires, the wheels are very efficient. I have reused the wheels on my 2023 Model Y with hubcentric ring adapters unfortunately the tires diameter are too large for the Y, so I had to buy 235/40R20 to fit and my original CrossClimate 2 245/45R20, are for sale with very little use.

With all respect I think the original rims are more nicer but If you like those better and more reliable for the use congrats

Looking at the forecast... be careful what you wish for! We just got 34cms (~14 inches) of fresh snow. Thankfully it was powder, and not wet stuff.

If I am getting the right weather reports you got the snow you were wishing for.

I just checked the Martian Wheels website, and 8 months after this video was published they don't have wheels listed for the Ioniq 5. Did they ever have them listed for the Ioniq 5?

Looks nice, but it’s too bad about cost.

I had forged wheels on my old subaru STI and they were very light, about 25% less then the cast wrx wheels the same size.

Q: Re your future plans, why would you not opt for a dedicated summer tire rather than all seasons?

Looking forward to the snow tire review. I would love to hear what you think about changing my 20-inch wheels to 19 or 18-inch wheels with tires with a bigger sidewall on my Ioniq 6, I have been told changing the wheels will mess up a variety of items on the car and I am not buying it.

Any objective aerodynamic data on those wheels?

Lots of information here. I thought you were going to trade for a 2024?

Agreed with others that the price isn't worth the need. If you want cool looking wheels you could have any manufacturer drill their models the the Ioniq bolt pattern. Keep the stockers for the winter. I have been looking at some Rocket wheels lately. Same maker but different style than I run on my hotrod. the "N" gets here I will be looking at the wheel and tire sizes to see if I can boost cornering and acceleration capabilities but would be moving to a more tested performance manufacturer.

I have a 2022 ioniq5. I live in New Hampshire, and it was cold snowing Sunday. I took a long trip 135 miles and charged my car to 100% before I went on my trip. My 2022 ioniq5 estimate the miles trip for 210 miles on 100% battery. I understand it was cold in the 20-degree and snowing all day long. All I am concerned about is if it looks normal to you for 100% battery and estimate miles is 210. Do you think I should check it with the dealer to see if there is anything wrong with my 2022 ioniq5 battery. I have my 2022 ioniq5 since July 1st, 2022, and always charger it at Electrify America. I really need you opinion on this situation, so please reply me back asap. Thanks
