Apollo 13: Home Safe Trailer

NASA will premiere the documentary "Apollo 13: Home Safe" on Friday, April 10, 8 p.m. EDT, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 13 mission. Apollo 13 has become known as “a successful failure” that saw a safe return of the crew in spite of a catastrophic explosion. The 30-minute program features an interview with Lovell, a conversation with Haise and Flight Directors Gene Kranz and Glynn Lunney, and engineer Hank Rotter, in the restored Apollo mission control room mixed with archival footage from the mission.

I still remember the day that happened. I followed the space program very closely as a kid, starting with Gemini. After the networks broke in with the news of the mishap, my step-dad came into my room and said "Your astronauts are in trouble." I was stuck to the TV in every spare moment for days afterwards.

Praise those men on that mission, that is the thing about man, if they want something bad enough they will get it, an those men on Apollo 13 wanted to stand on earth once more they wanted to see their family again they had the courage to get back home even with the things that happened during the mission.
