Literally clicked on this and said to myself, "will he mention Drastic Plastic orks?". They were a bit crappy, but they were the future and we just didn't know it. The plastic space marines were brilliant for the time, as I remember they were £10 for 30 miniatures. I had all that early stuff, plastic guard and squats, it was a time I can tell you. Can't believe I've been playing 40k since 1987, such nostalgia :]

That Ork Buggy pictured was indeed a plastic model. The lead/metal Ork Buggy was just the coolest. Not as cool as the first Dreadnoughts, but up there. I still have that metal Ork army. ❤
