I discoverd you don't have to use the 180 rotation feature to get it into flashlight mode. You can instead put the body of the osmo parallel to the ground (flashlight position) and push the joystick button in twice.

Great tip thanks. I haven't tried it yet although with the normal way I have had multiple questions as to "what the heck is that thing' and one person recognized it and asked where I bought it from because according to him its still back ordered wherever he's looked. 🤣
