15:56 "This Thing" is a portrait of the Pope John Paul the II who is basically a meme in Poland because he was the only Polish Pope and is joked about, he has a lot of statues. if you've been in Poland you probably saw his face even if you didn't know it.

2:51 hey i was with the germans on r/place, i cant believe the germans here didn't learn from our experience; they were too expansionist and didn't let art on their flag. their strength during the day lulled them into overconfidence, making them forget that true lasting presence is achieved through alliances and coexistence.

I think the best way to have a build survive is to build something that people will feel bad about messing up. Memorials are probably good ways of doing this

1:19 "whatever the hell this thing is here" yeah, It's the art of Pope John Paul II, which is one of the most famous memes in Poland and is here a representation of our country (instead of flags etc.). At some point (4:05) he even had the caption "John Paul". It was built by a group of amazing people met on the server: Koszi_, _ANonIME, command_bread, Elynox, Growing_Grass, KoszeTrawe, Piterix, xDmuffinx and Bloczek_2K.

It was a really great experiment and I'm glad we managed to survive these 7 days. Thank you for this event and as a John Paul II team we intend to participate in your future experiments!

I'm pretty sure that the Madeline from Celeste is the longest lasting build, you can see it from the start of day one to the end of day seven, all that happened to it was Badeline was added and there was a change of background but that's it.

haha what an amazing video and event! i loved how just starting a pixel art of emilia after a joke caused such drama 😂. i can also heavily relate with the sleeping less part, the event start at 9pm for me and i stayed up till like 3am building emilia 💀

4:30 I'm pretty sure that's not "a larger pac-man", assuming you're talking about the large yellow circle on screen. I'm pretty sure that's actually the vault symbol from the Borderlands series. Notice the red triangular shape and border around it that makes it look less like pac-man?
