The "crab sticks" you buy in the western supermarkets is a pale imitation of the real Japanese surimi. They add water, starch, vegetable oils, etc. The better ones you can find are around 60% surimi, and you can tell the difference. Would love to taste real Japanese surimi.

i love surimi i think it goes well with beer, also google anything Japan and you'll find anything being fully nerded out and made with a craftsmanship like they were sent to this earth to do so. Bring back the guilds

My favorite way to eat this is to mince it up, fry with butter and garlic, and add to cheese quesadilla with Sriracha
