How to be busy but not better?

Praying without ceasing. Serving my family as I’m called to do as a wife and a mother. Planting the seed of truth in everyone I come across by showing the love of Christ.

You said it man- I need to stop thinking I’m better than doing my homework and working out. I need to stay alert and doing these things because Jesus did so many things that were DIFFICULT and maybe He didn’t want to- He literally died the most painful death possible and took my wrath for me..and I’m complaining because I’m getting an education? God, please help me and my atttitude.

I don't like to use the word busy, because it relates to distraction. The better word is stay active. Meaning focus on the Lord and his word. Doing his will. But great word 💯🙏🏽

Thank you Alex. I have the sin of gluttony and boredom is my biggest downfall. When I’m bored, I eat. Also when I’m stressed, sad, worried, but God has helped me with that so much. But now, when I’m not moving, I’m eating. It’s such a hard habit to break but I pray our Lord helps me with that.

I always say that arguing is beneath me because I'd rather speak in a healthy conversation atmosphere rather than be in the argument.

I genuinely appreciate the message because, even if I don't want to argue, I need to be there and do better at maintaining it at a conversation level or walking away to pray or be busy with something else rather than arguing.

Whenever I'm casual in relationship with Jesus, I tend to be slothful and I don't want to keep myself busy.

Even when all my work is done for the day, I want to stay busy in studying Gods word and knowing him more and more.

This is so true. I feel like idleness leaves us wanting, and when we're in want we tend to look for things to easily satisfy those desires as compared to the diligence that is needed for us to find satisfaction in God. I learned this the hard way and am glad God is helping me find delight in Him.
