Madonna - True Blue

Показать описание
Released in 1986, this song had the particularity of having 2 music videos: the official video and a video that was created as part of a "Make My Video" contest to help promote the album. The contest was done with MTV.
In the fall of 1986, MTV asked its viewers to submit their own videos. The contest was known as "Madonna's 'Make My Video' Contest". The winner was awarded a trip to MTV's New York studio where Madonna presented a $25,000 check live on MTV. Thousands of viewers submitted their recorded tapes which were mainly made using home-made video equipment and featured themselves or relatives as the actors. MTV publicist Peter Danielson said that many of the submissions featured teenagers imitating Madonna. All the entries were shown in a continuous run on MTV as promised. The same song was played over and over for the whole day, but each time with a different video made by the finalists.
On a side not, this is not a re-pressing. This is an original pressing from 1986. I have both the black version and this semi-clear blue version. They both sound the same and are made out of PVC, not styrene. Colored vinyl is not new, it has been used for decades.
Enjoy!!
NOTE: I DO NOT GAIN ANYTHING BY THIS. THIS IS FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT AND LISTENING PLEASURE.
