The previous generation had a manufacturing flaw that some people don't know about, the issue was that the owners died of old age before the vehicles did. If you wish to avoid this problem, avoid this brand, and look to the European manufactures.

When the problems are “cup holders aren’t large enough”
Then you got a good car
But sporadic electronics issues reality annoying

Travelled 64000k in our 2022 AWD hybrid, as reliable as the sun rising, comfortable economical, roomy, good power, nothing negative to say about it.

Still one of the best car channels on youtube. Just sold my Accord Euro, which I bought after watching a bunch of reviews. That's where I found this channel. It was my first car... end of an era. When the time comes to buy a new one I'll be digging into your catalogue again to compare used models! Love your videos

I had one of these last year. It as a 2019 hybrid version. It had 203K klms on it, it was a work car and the previous employee who had it before me lived 100km away from work so was doing 200 klms plus the Klm’s during work, and drove very well. I had it replaced with the current model 1 year ago now, and it drives the same as the one which had 203K klms on it. It’s got the torque of a V6, with the fuel economy of a Corolla. What I don’t like is that the interior door opening handles are as black as the door trims, which means you fumble around for the handle at night. This Is in the entry level model. I previously had a current model Hyundai Tucson 4cylinder Petrol, and that has better standard features than the RAV4, like lumbar support, slightly larger boot & a mute button for the radio.

I have a 2021 PHV plug in hybrid of this car, called the Prime imported from Japan it’s absolutely fantastic, it’s a top of the law model with over 200 kW. I get approximately 70/80kms range k’s on the electric battery and really run the petrol motor. I’ve done 1100 k’s and haven’t even used a quarter of the tank of petrol. Car says I’m getting about 5 1/2 km per kilowatt and about 80 km a ltr,
I plug it in every two days, as my car is fully loaded. It has greater cruise control. Digital dashboard heated and cold seats heated seats in the back full leather interior full size sunroof, I don’t understand why to report this into Australia. It’s fantastic.

Nice review! My grandpa bought the hybrid new in 2019 and hes loving it. Nice to hear the safety section in my other mother tounge ;). Would like to see a review on three off my favorite cars in the future: 2019+ Audi A6 Allroad, 2019+ Audi A7 and 2008+ Audi R8 manual. Cheers mate.

RAV4's are highly stolen in the UK and they also have parts stolen very easily. Thieves love them because they can be broken into and driven away in under a minute. I nearly bought a RAV4 but the insurance was 3 times higher than it's competition. I ended up downsizing and getting a Bi-Tone solar yellow Suzuki Vitara SZ5 Allgrip. I love it 😀

Drove a couple of hundred Km’s in a rental one of these, this week. Awful weather but the RAV4 made it seem very easy and comfortable. My only real grip was the gearbox which made the engine soar to over 4000 revs while delivering no real power up steep hills.

I just purchased a 2020 RAV4 today.

This video made me feel pretty good about my choice to try out a RAV4.

My wife and I bought a 2019 GX petrol RAV4 which has been a brilliant family car. Never missed a beat with over 100, 000 klm on the clock and get over 600+ klm of city driving per tank. Only issue we’ve had is an O2 sensor stop working which Toyota replaced with no fuss under warranty.

I’d really be keen to buy the plug in hybrid version of these as an import. There’s a few kicking around on the market, that feels like the perfect ‘car’ these days. Enough battery to drive round town on electric but the engine to cope with the occasional trip into the country.

I like cars, but I’m a pragmatist. I bought a 2023 Cruiser hybrid, it did cost a fortune but it’s efficient, it’s fantastic. I love it.
