This is a Bluetooth audio receiver module. when connected to USB or a 5V power supply, it will turn on and become visible as an available Bluetooth device.

The Bluetooth receiver can be connected to an amplifier or a pair of speakers with its 3.5mm stereo output jack.

That red colour ble module is surprisingly well built. I remember when I accidentally gave 8.4v into the right audio out channel but it survived because they actually added capacitors in series to both audio out ( the two big electrolytic ones ). The only only drawback to these is the god awful startup sound which yells " the bluetooth device is ready to pair " at full volume. I've seen people try to hack into these thru usb since this device actually shows up when you connect to usb and had no luck. But it's an interesting story. It is possible to reflasg the startup sequence for the other black module since it has a separate chip acting as memory and change the audios for the startup and button press sounds.
