The problem that you are having is the same problem that everybody with factory pioneer systems have, and that I had with my daughters car. The problem is pioneer radios have a seperate amplifier in the trunk, and sound will only come from your speakers if the amplifier is turned on. The amplifier turns on when the amplifier turn on wire receives 12V. The new android radio will send the 12v to the amplifier turn on wire, but only when the radio is set to play radio stations. When any other input is selected to play through the speakers like bluetooth, the radio will quit sending the 12v to the amplifier turn on wire, and the amp will turn off, and no sound will come from the speakers. The solution is to connect the radio 12v power wire directly to the amplifier turn on wire so that anytime the radio is receiving 12v, then the amplifier turn on wire is receiving 12v and the amplifier turns on and plays sound through the speakers regardless of which radio input is selected. At the factory wiring harness connector, the factory amp turn on wire is yellow with green stripe. What ever the wire color is on the opposite side of the plug in connector, (new radio side of the harness connector) (sorry, I forgot the wire color) and that connects to the factory yellow with green stripe wire, connect this new radio wire to a new radio red wire that has 12v. Be sure that the radio red wire you tie to has 12v only when the car accessory power is on, and when the car is turned off, the same red wire should no longer have 12v.

I have the exact same stereo on my 2012 Cruze LT (2 years now), zero problems w/ it and the cel fone music plays perfect.
Only one problem happened, certain day it freeze, the damm thing locked up. Then all of sudden it reestarted, formated itself and begin the Android w/ factory settings. Appart from this episode, the multimedia works flawless.

Have you tried plugging your phone through the cable instead of using Bluetooth?

I had issue with my Kenwood 2 years old top of line Hu, would not play sound on Bluetooth using Android auto. Was 2021 model gaming phone, this year bought a s22 ultra and android auto plays Bluetooth audio perfect, so was my old phone. Just giving some suggestions, pretty sure you tried another phone to stream, for test. Not sure how rewiring would solve a Bluetooth issue unless I missed something.

I think those stereos have issues if they have the pioneer speaker package
