As more results come in it's clear the election was much closer than originally thought on election night. I break that down, discuss some of the lessons that must be learned from this, and share Bernie Sanders' scathing letter to the Democratic Party.

The fact that progressive ballot measures passed this week in Missouri shows that there is progressive potential in almost every state. But for it to benefit Democrats requires the Democratic party to be clear in supporting such progressive positions, which they don't do. Sad.

How in the hell do we overcome the right-wing propaganda that’s been shouted at Americans for 30 years? In surveying voters about whose economic policies they preferred without telling them which prez candidate those proposals belonged to, Americans strongly preferred the Harris policies.

The millions of people who voted for Trump in this election weren’t voting for him because they all read the fine details of his policies and totally agreed with them.

You can over-analyze this all you want. The "both parties are the same" narrative worked, some people were dumb enough to stay home. And they'll spend the next decades with Trump's supreme Court picks finding out the difference between both parties. Harris did the best she could people should be grown enough to know what the stakes are.

No one should have to “make you excited” to vote, it is a civic duty that people died for. Furthermore, the disaster of Trump’s last presidency and the impending threats of Project 2025 should have been enough to galvanize people to action against such an encroachment upon their civil rights.
