A Day at the Google Office in San Francisco

Today I'll show you a day in the life of a Google software engineer as I work from the Google San Francisco office! I really love the city, and I actually grew up here in the Bay Area. Google is known for having fun work environments and awesome perks in the office, so I am excited to show you what that actually looks like!

A little bit about me: I studied computer science in college (BS and MS). Google is my first full time job; and I've been working at Google for 4 years as a software engineer. I work on building the home screen of the Google Pixel 📱 and Android 🤖.. I currently live in the Bay Area, CA 🌉.

In today's video, I'll show you what a day in the life of a software engineer looks like in an actual office. I'll show you my commute on the Google bus, what I do during the day, and some of the fun, quirky parts of Google.

I really liked how you talked about planning and not taking on too much work for the day. That was a great point, it made me realize that by planning less makes it seem easier to get things done. It may seem so easy that you even have more time to work on things not even planned since you didn't over schedule yourself for the day.

I love the videos... I will be done with my MSIT Software Engineering by June 2022 and plan on applying to Google in the NYC office. It looks like such a cool place to work. Taking notes by hand? heck yeah! I do it all the time. Hand writing makes all your gears run at the same time, also gives you the opportunity to order your thoughts before putting them down, is not easy to change things on paper. I think you have a good strategy to not get that tired at the end on the day, but also being productive. It took me years to develop one that help me, but I had many years of working long hours to meet unrealistic production goals and deadlines that weren't nine at all! Ended up beaten down dead-flat to bed, not enyoing my personal time or my family. Keep it up!
