Because of the fact that the cost interior designing is going up like bonkers. Now every tom, dick & harry out there in city call themselves as an interior designer. As i m a civil engg student, so i decided to do interior designing for our home by myself. Taking my inspiration & ideas from YouTube & pinterest. I hired a normal local contractor team. I guided them according to my choice & taste. And surprisingly it turned out to be great. So at the cost of around ₹6-7 lakhs, we got all types of wood work (Wardrobes, TV unit, Crockery unit, Modular kitchen), basic false ceiling. And every raw material used is all branded. (Asian Royal shine, Virgo laminates, Godrej/hettich etc). It is not like you have to do an interior designing by Hafeez Contractor. It is not that you can't do interior designing if you are a middle class family. It is just a myth created by hyped interior designers. You can do basic stuffs if you are an enthusiast & like to involve yourself in your things. These lavish interior works can't be affordable for middle class. So you have do things accordingly.

While its solely your decision to accept the projects that suit your budget, do not make a statement that good projects cant be done within budget. Dont contradict yourself when you say only high budget things are sustainable when you started your channel with minimal budget videos and DIYs.

But then what's the point of reaching millions of people through YouTube while only 1-2% audience could afford your services. Even a middle class men aspires to have a small but beautiful dream house. And also 8L to 12L would be a small budget for interior designers like you, however, it must be years of savings for someone.

I hv been following you since the beginning of YT. But I was a little disappointed with your total switch to more expensive decoration. I watch foreign channels which show budget friendly designing by eminent designers. It's so good to know that they cater to middle class. With money many can get work done. Nothing great about it. These days if u see, Gauri Khan's design, they look all the same bcos same stuffs u r only sourcing. It's not a challenge. U must accept challenge to do the place with minimum budget and space friendly, the designer can charge the fee.

However, i would wish if u can cater to middle class people as well rather going completely out of budget. The space saving solutions and the aesthetic interiors can definitely be done in budget as well
