Mollie Venable's Key Influencer Blue Angel Flight-August 2024

Mollie was selected to fly with the Blue Angels through the Key Influencer program. This year, the criteria was people who had influenced youth in the local community. When selected, Mollie had 13 years of classroom experience in Pre-k through 12th grade covering general, music, and special education in 5 states. She also volunteered with Woodmen Valley Chapel and COS I Love You while in Colorado Springs. The Blue Angels were flying in Colorado Springs as part of the Pikes Peak Regional Airshow.

This was an experience of a lifetime and Mollie was extremely humbled and honored to be chosen among the 70 applicants for this opportunity.

At 60 yrs old having just retired after 40 years of service to the navy this is the most incredible and respected thing i have seen to date i believe. That's the voice of a genuine Top Gun. I just can not fathom the level of training he has endured to get his body to overcome such a natural and powerful force.

Wow wow wow!!! This woman was so brave to have gone through these maneuvers. The pilot was so kind and easy going to walk her through each step. It must have been an incredible experience. Air shows were my thing as a kid.. I dreamed of being an F18 pilot. Then I grew up and realized I had a sensitive stomach and a fear of heights.. sooo I’m staying on the ground! Lol this must have been the coolest experience for her!! A tiny bit jealous! And that pilot was incredible! So kind with her!!
