Mass Effect Legendary Edition, while it still has the rushed game that is ME3 I love me a great trip down memory lane.

RE Village is easily my favourite resident evil game and game of the year the blend of horror, the references to past games, the fantastic antagonists, the development to the story, some of the best voice and mo-camp acting in gaming history and so much more- I'm very happy RE8 made the list.

For me, Guilty Gear Strive is my favorite game this year. Fun, engaging game mechanics with a ton of depth. Fantastically engaging character designs. A (mostly) great soundtrack. An excellent matchmaking system that protects new players from getting mauled by veterans. Buttery-smooth netcode. Game is a blast, and I can't stop playing it.

The Mass Effect trilogy is one one of the best ever made in history, it got remastered this year and you didn't include it, not even as an honorable mention. It should have been top 5.
