Kudos to Hurst & Hunt, they were both magnificent up top. Greavsie was injured, and a lot of people were worried about his absence, but Hurst especially showed his class.

What a fantastic game. Given the conditions and the 1960’s ball, both sides were brilliant. Nothing between in the 1st half but as the 2nd goes on England look much stronger, the equaliser must have been a huge shock. A third and comfortable win seemed far more likely in the proceeding 10-15mins.
There’s obviously aspects of modern football you can say have improved, but you wish more important games had this approach from both sides.
