So, I have taken the 2 Pfizer vaccines in Spain to be able to travel to South Africa to visit my elderly parents. Low and behold, I got covid in the last week of my visit, and the dr thought it might be Omicron. On top of that both my parents had covid in July 21 and then got the Jansens 1 vaccine and then they got a second case of covid. Thankfully all 3 of us had mild cases. The funniest part is that I stayed with my niece and her family who are not vaccinated and not 1 of them got covid!

early treatment is key. my 85 year old grandmother has MS, cannot aspirate, is diabetic, lost most motor function in extremities years ago. Was taking hydroxychloroquine, got covid, recovered in about a week. We thought covid was a death sentence for her. She did just fine with good early treatment.

I heard him say it: omicron is mild in the vaccinated and unvaccinated. For the most part. So let's calm down. I have a friend looking to lose her job because she's not boosted. At this late date, it seems unbelievably stupid. Like the abusive parent who can't get himself to stop swinging that belt even though people are watching and he doesn't even remember what he was so mad about.

I've had Covid three times - the original flavour, delta and now omicron. So my immune system has had a good workout. For me, Covid is little more than two days of illness, thanks be to God.
