Electromagnetic Induction | Lenz's Law: Revisited | A-level Physics

This video revisits Lenz's law, an important principle of electromagnetic (EM) induction. We discuss how Lenz's law enables us to predict the direction of the induced current when there is a change of magnetic flux in a coil or loop of wire. The relation between Lenz's law and conservation of energy is touched on, and we discuss a more informal way of thinking about the law, in terms of the coil not 'liking' change and trying to oppose any changes in magnetic flux.

Cheers boss, watching this in my physics class rn bro! :) Very helpful and my teacher said you're the best physics youtuber out there. I have a question, why does the bar magnet repel, and is lenzs law similar to lechatliers principle in chemistry?

i have a question, why would the energy conservation law be inacurate if the self induction was not there, as you said, energy conservation thats why the fields oppose change...but what exatly wouldd happen if that wa not the case...im curious on to how we came to the conclusion tthat this effect has smth to do with energy consservation.
