The Christmas Tree & The Grand Salon at The Château | Day 6

Christmas has arrived at the chateau, well four beautiful Christmas trees have and its time to get them decorated fit for a chateau. The family get to work on making Stands for each of the lovely tree then for the exciting part, dressing them with a range of beautiful handmade decorations. By the end the family have completely transformed the salon into a Christmas grand salon.

About us,

We are a family from the North-East of England following our dream to restore a beautiful abandoned french Château. We discovered the heart stopping Château De Lalacelle in summer of 2020, this beautiful architectural monument Is set in the countryside of North-West France.

The moment we visited the Château we all fell in love, from the beautiful sweeping landscape and forests, to its stunning untouched interiors and magnificent spiral staircase in the turret.

Unfortunately Château De Lalacelle has been abandoned for a number of decades so will need a lot of restoration and DIY.

The trees are lovely but what's more lovely, is watching Jonathan getting excited picking out the trees, put me into the Christmas spirit. As for Tracy and Terry, as mother and son, have such a close, loving relationship; to see you both laughing at each other's jokes, and share the same sense of humor, makes me smile and laugh with you. Today, you both had me laughing out loud! Just wonderful 😊 ❤🎄🤶

I know it's not the popular opinion, but I rather like the Salon being a bit shabby while all decorated. I do a lot of set design and one of my favourite looks is "deconstructed" space filled with opulence. I do appreciate that it's different to live that way, (heat would be lovely 😊) but as an aesthetic it's quite fabulous.

I think I have smiled through this whole video..and LOL when Lord is digging in the tree whole, and when Terry brings out the little tree to put in it . I am so envious of your journey with your family.. Jonathan is one lucky boy to be raised with such a loving, talented family and having an adventure a child would love..it is all so beautiful

The Salon looks absolutely stunning - the natural twin trees and garland beautiful! Love the glass ornaments that look like the bowl of a wine glass (upside down) with gold detail! A couple of LOL moments just added to the festive feeling - the 10 meter tree in the 2 meter long trailer and of course Patrick helping himself to one of the ornaments.
